Inspired by the famous Tweedle twins from Alice in Wonderland, Tawny Dee results from the blending of wines from low-yield vineyards located in the Cima Corgo area, in the Douro Valley. Made with grapes predominantly trodden in lagares, the wines age on average 3 and a half years in small barrels of Port Wine in the cellars in Gaia before being bottled. Brick red/tawny in color, with delicate nutty aromas and a hint of dried fruits. On the palate, very well balanced with a youthful fruity, luscious character, which integrates well with a long spirity finish. Tawny Dee goes well with nuts based desserts, fruit pies or the portuguese "Leite Creme queimado".
